IDL BOSS BAGS OTA CHIEFTAINCY TITLE

02.05.14

The Managing Director Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), Engineer Patrick Inegbenigie Anegbe has bagged a chieftaincy title in Ogun State. The Chieftaincy title was conferred by the Olota of Ota, Oba Moshood Adetoro Osanyintola Alani Oyede in his palace at Ota recently.

The title was given to Anegbe as Baase Maraya while his wife, Chief Mrs Dorothy Anegbe became Yeye Baase Maraya (literally means the maker of Energizer) of Ota land.

According to the Oba, giving the title to the IDL Chief became necessary following his immense contribution to the development of Ota land and commitment to humanity.

He noted that Anegbe has been known to be a credible leader both in the community and at the place of work.

The new Baase Maraya in his goodwill message, acknowledged the good people of Ota for their hospitality over the years and appreciated the king for bestowing honour.  He noted that dwelling in Ota has brought so many joy to his entire family and it has been “a home away from home”, a peaceful coexistence that exists between and among Ota indigenes cannot be over emphasized.

Patrick stressed that IDL believes so much in giving back to the people especially the community where it operates. He disclosed that IDL has employed many Ota indigenes both at graduates and non-graduates, built so many classrooms in schools around the area, renovated some schools, provided a pipe-born water and electricity for Ota people as part of responsibility (CSR) of IDL.

He further revealed that IDL has never relented in its efforts to contribute to the development of Ota. “I have got the approval of IDL Board of Directors to continue to do more,” he said.

Patrick in an interview disclosed that he is delighted about the chieftaincy title and he promised to continue using his good office to bring development to people and the country at large.
